Most modules on SSModules.com are self-installing. All you need to do is download the module installation file and run it. The module will be installed into your SwordSearcher library. (Self-installing modules have a .exe extension on SSModules.com.) Notes: - When you install a new module, be sure SwordSearcher is not running. Close it first if necessary.
- All module files on SSModules.com require at least version 5.0 of SwordSearcher. Some module files may require more recent versions as noted in the module file description.
- For your convenience, you may wish to burn the module file installers you download to a CD-ROM for backup purposes, in case you need to install them again at a later date.
Zip files: if you download a module that is stored in a zip archive (ending with the extension .zip instead of .exe), you will need to open the archive and copy the module file into your SwordSearcher modules folder. The unzipped files should be place in either your Documents\SwordSearcher User Modules folder or your Program Files\SwordSearcher 5\Modules folder.
